Wren Weburg
Hi there. I enjoy solving problems, helping others reach their potential, and spending time with family, friends, and pets. Outside of computer science endeavors, my hobbies include hiking, biking, creative writing, and flying model aircraft. I also sometimes enjoy video games with my kids, my own childhood favorite being SimCity. That led to a dream job at Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) within the Maxis and Pogo game studios, helping others play, explore, and share.
Computer science projects I work on
-
Generic HTTP Web Service (GHoWSt)
Communication is important across boundaries. This project allows coding in local language semantics for several supported programming languages and translates calls to and from HTTP dynamically. -
Head First Design Patterns in PHP
A port of the book's source code to run on PHP, ported from Java.
Human science concepts I'm interested in
-
Mind-body research
The work of Dr. John E. Sarno has shed more light on the relationship between the mind and body. Anyone who is curious about how any number of symptoms could be helped through better understanding of ourselves may want to research the book The Divided Mind, in the spirit of being wholly united. -
A more collaborative democracy
It seems we need less division and more collaboration in many areas of our lives. A friend put a lot of work into a book and movement with that goal in mind, called End Politics Now.
